Architecture of Baghdad
The architecture of Baghdad was one of the things that made Baghdad so popular and unique. Colourful domes and mosques full of writing is what gave Baghdad the name: 'A City Full of Golden Treasures'. Baghdad was mostly famous for the circle. And within the heart of the circle lies the Caliph's palace and the miraculously stunning Grand Mosque. So you unique it has even created a big impact on the mosques we see until this day.
Not only was the architecture of Baghdad stunning, it was also very well thought out. Instead of having roads where automobiles could travel on, Baghdad had canals. On these canals boats traveled all day like buses for transportation and like trucks for cargo. But, there was not only one there was one in between each row of houses, hospitals and warehouses. This wasn't the only way of going to places. Baghdad was also connected by the four roads. These four roads came out of the circle and never bent. On each quarter of the circle one of the four roads emerged.

It was so clever things that were designed and built. Things that we thought were impossible. Things such as: bridges on floats. These moved with the water of the river. This was ideal because Baghdad had many floods and when this did happen they could cut the bridge in halve if there was really to much water.
